| Senate Bill 123 Non-Violent Felony Drug Assessments
PURPOSE: To assist in determining the level of treatment necessary for individuals being sentenced for non-violent drug felonies.
PROCEDURE: Clients are referred by Community Corrections in the 11th Judicial District. After the assessment is completed, a report and recommendations for drug education and/or treatment is provided to Community Corrections.
FEES: $200.00 paid by Kansas Community Corrections.
ACCESS/REFERRAL: SB123 assessments must be court ordered and arranged by a Community Correction Officer. ADSAP provides this service for the 11th Judicial District Courts, which includes Cherokee, Crawford, and Labette Counties, and other Judicial District Courts upon approval. Appointments must be scheduled through the Pittsburg FLC/ADSAP Office. Services are available in Pittsburg, Parsons, Columbus and Riverton.
