| Day Reporting Program (DRP)
PURPOSE: Juvenile Offenders (JO) or Children In Need of Care (CINC) and youth “at risk” of entering the court system are referred for this service. The program provides a structured setting for youth to learn and develop appropriate social and interpersonal skills.
PROCEDURE: The Day Reporting Program aims to prevent or deter youth from delinquent activity by providing structured activities after school. It is the goal of the program to maintain youth in the community by providing supervision and programming. The program is designed to prevent, divert and rehabilitate youth from undesirable activities and behavior.
FEES: A prevention grant through the Juvenile Justice Authority (JJA) provides funding for the service.
ACCESS/REFERRAL: Youth are referred by the Cherokee County District Court.
