PURPOSE: The Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP) provides alcohol/drug evaluations for individuals who are arrested for driving under the influence (DUI), and other alcohol/drug related offenses.
PROCEDURE: Upon the case being filed, the court will order the individual to contact ADSAP and follow all recommendations. The evaluation will determine if the individual is at risk and in need of additional services. A written report is mailed to the court with the recommendations.
FEES: The 11th Judicial District Court and most Municipal Courts assess the fee for the evaluation. Individuals that fail to show for their scheduled appointment will be responsible for a $25.00 No Show Fee, at the time of their next appointment, payable to ADSAP.
ACCESS/REFERRAL: Clients are referred for evaluation by the Eleventh Judicial District, which includes Cherokee, Crawford and Labette Counties, and the individual Municipal Courts in this area. Evaluations must be court ordered before a client is seen. Appointments are scheduled in Pittsburg, Parsons, Columbus, and Riverton, and may be done in the correctional centers. Evaluations for Spanish speaking individuals are scheduled and take place in the Pittsburg office.
Evaluations for individuals outside the 11th Judicial District Court or State of Kansas are available. The $150.00 fee is collected at the time of the evaluation.
